Repair Credit Report Online

May 14th, 2011 by admin

You may have seen advertisements like ‘Repair Credit Report Online Here’. You may wonder if this is a legal credit repair service. That is a good question. Several companies which advertise in this manner have been investigated by the Federal Trade Commission.

There are many options for those interested in credit repair. Some are legal and effective. You can choose a legal credit repair service or you can choose to do it yourself. Some credit bureaus even allow the consumer to report discrepancies that could improve or repair the credit report online. Some credit repair options are illegal and can create more problems than they solve.

For example a legal credit repair service would never recommend that a person who is not a business owner apply for an employer identification number or EIN. An EIN is a number assigned to a business by the Internal Revenue Service. Some credit repair clinics have recommended the use of an EIN instead of a social security number. It is illegal to make any false claim on a credit application. It is important to find out exactly what services a company which advertises something like ‘repair credit report online’ is offering.

A few years ago, one credit repair company advertising ‘repair credit report online here’ claimed to own a unique computer ‘disc’ which would ‘erase’ bad credit. After investigating, the Federal Trade Commission learned that the company did not own any unique computer software. They were required to make restitution to some of their customers. A legal credit repair service will be very careful what claims and services it offers to consumers. A legal credit repair service will outline their services. They will also outline their fees.

Some companies which advertise; repair credit report online, may be trying to attract consumers like are looking for their free credit reports. You can view, print and in some cases repair credit reports online at http://www.annualcreditreport.com. This is a free service provided by the credit bureaus in response to a recently enacted law. A legal credit repair service will typically make the consumer aware that they can make improvements or repair their credit reports on their own. It may be time consuming and frustrating. The legal credit repair service simply offers to do most of the time consuming and frustrating work for you.

Repair Credit Fast How 1st Time Homebuyer Almost Lost Keys

May 11th, 2011 by admin
Forgetting to pay a credit card bill is not cool, especially when you’re trying to get approved for credit.

Brent Morris clearly screwed up while trying to bank qualify to buy their first home.

Brent overlooked a credit card bill, causing the card issuer to hit Brent with a 30-day late.
No courtesy phone call requesting payment.

No warning letter informing Brent and his wife that failure to pay could harm their credit and result in debt collections.

When Brent contacted me, you could hear the desperation in his voice. They were in escrow to buy their home, expecting to close in less than 2 weeks.
He couldn’t believe he had overlooked a credit card bill.

He couldn’t believe one 30-day late could drop his middle FICO credit score 60 points.

He also couldn’t believe customer service wouldn’t give him a break. According to Brent, they had been long-time customers, making on-time payments on this card for 6 years.

For Brent, this was an ugly introduction to credit reality…from the wrong side of the fence. They definitely needed to repair credit fast!

To help Brent and his wife at the 11th hour, I agreed to help but could NOT guarantee results…when it was so late in escrow.

I explained to Brent and his wife the success my customers, family, friends and I have had with one powerful letter strategy.

It’s not just any old letter. It’s the right letter with the right wording, sent to the right people using the right mailing technique.
Brent gave me the details.

Given more time, I felt 99.9% confident. With such short notice, I couldn’t be as confident.

That same day, I completed my research, wrote and ‘mailed’ my letter. In less than 14 hours, Brent received a call from the executive assistant inside the executive office of Amalgamated Bank-Mastercard (his credit card issuer).

To Brent’s and his wife’s shock, Amalgated DELETED the 30-day late, faxing Brent written confirmation.

Brent’s mortgage guy quickly did a ‘rapid rescore,’ allowing Brent and his wife (once again) to get excited all over again about the opportunity to own their very own home.

Certainly, as you can imagine, Brent and his wife were so grateful—unbelievably grateful—for what I did to help them.

They had set their hearts on grabbing the keys to their very first home. It was a big deal to them. Therefore, it was a big deal to me too.

You and I both know Brent and his wife could have found another ‘dream’ home if this one hadn’t worked out for them.

For many people who don’t know what to do, their dreams (can) break apart with one 30-day late. For many people, the hit can be as high as 90-100 points.

By the way, my customers, family, family %26 I use this very same letter strategy to resolve ANY issue with any business. On my DVD, 8 SECRETS TO A 680 CREDIT SCORE!, I share the exact step-by-step technique and the letter template I recommend.

Repair credit fast strategies (can) work if you know and take action on the exact strategy. This is one technique you will be able to use over and over again, possibly saving your home as happened with Brent and his wife.

Bad credit repair coach Mike Payne helps people improve their credit so they can grab the keys to their new homes. For more than 10 years, Mike has combined his ’8 SECRETS TO A 680 CREDIT SCORE!’ with his real estate knowledge to help people realize their dream of home ownership. Once people find Mike, they already have wasted $1,000s on credit (DIS) repair companies firing off worthless ’rounds’ of dispute letters. Now, they are seriously committed to improving their own credit to avoid wasting more money, getting sued or losing their identity.

How long to repair credit

May 8th, 2011 by admin
One question most credit experts typically get is how long does it take to repair credit? While this question does not have a definitive answer – each person’s record has different elements — there are steps you can take to make a gradual positive improvement to repair credit. Remember that most financial lenders look at the most recent history on your report.

Thus, losing your job and being unable to pay bills in recent months will cause an effect on your report. By starting today to pay down debts and fix any delinquent accounts, you should see a dramatic increase in your credit score within a few months to three years. The fewer negative items or late records you have on your account, the faster your financial score will improve.

Also, limit the number of inquiries you have on your account by lenders during this time period. (The more there are of these, the bigger the negative impact on your score.) In addition, many negative items fall off of your records within seven to ten years. By simply waiting for items that you cannot fix personally to come off, your credit score will increase.

While there is no exact time frame on how long it takes to repair credit, it is not something that you should expect to happen within days and/or weeks. Instead, have patience, make your payments on time each month, and take positive steps to pay down any debt from the past that may be on your credit record. Now that you are empowered with new information, go out there and restore your credit, and get the things you want in life.

Repair Credit Scores How to Derail Credit Collection Companies

May 5th, 2011 by admin

I research techniques on how to repair credit scores often, mainly, for my own credit history and repair attempts.  Unfortunately the current economy left me without a job and it took longer than expected for me to get back on my feet.  Building reserves is tough enough, going through them and dipping into credit cards is even harder.  Here’s a little of all I’ve picked up on credit and credit repair while increasing my credit score by 75 points.

Let me start by saying that I understand how people feel when there’s no way to pay a bill.  You struggle with it inside.  Myself, I always paid my bills on time and usually in full.  If I had been dealing directly with my original creditors I would have settled in higher amounts on all my accounts.  Unfortunately they sold my accounts to collection companies and after a short while I built a serious resentment for these companies.  They treat me with no respect and harass me at all hours of the day.  I finally got a new job and they started calling there.  Getting a job with bad credit was hard enough, then having to deal with the calls at work.  Forget about it.

For that reason I looked for ways to get these companies off my back and pay them as close to nothing as possible.  Everything I had read to that point was information on how to dispute an account.  I had read about learning about credit laws but I never really saw the point to it until I found a manual that told me why knowing the laws would help me.  I assumed the laws were there to help the creditors not me.  I was wrong.  They have rules and if they don’t follow them you can get their accounts off your report.

The Three techniques below made a huge difference on how I worked with those collection companies.

First, making sure the collection company has all its licensing, bonding and insurance requirements.  If they collect outside of their state, they must have the bonding licensing and insurance for any other states they collect in.  Many times they only have for their home state because of the cost involved.  If they don’t comply, they can’t collect from you and they have to remove it.

Two, requesting that the collection company show actual proof they are allowed, by the original creditor, to collect from me.  If they don’t show proof, they can’t collect from you and you can dispute it with the credit bureaus.

Last, is getting them to show proof you owe the debt.  This sound as something easy for them to have and provide evidence, yet they have to provide copies of the original contract you signed when applying for the account.  If they don’t have it they can’t collect.  With many credit card companies merging, it gets more difficult for them to produce them.  Again dispute and remove it.

Those three saved me a lot of money.  I did settle for a deletion letter on a couple of accounts but most I was able to remove with the techniques above.  I hope I annoyed them as much as they annoyed me.

Credit repair techniques change. Using the most current techniques to dispute correctly has worked well for me. I understand my credit now and strongly recommend consumers understand this critical aspect of their financial life. There’s a lot of information out there. Below is what helped me the most. Are there any reputable credit repair people/company I can contact to fix my credit? I am soon going to be facing foreclosure and my credit is really shot. Bad Credit Repair Credit Card Bankers Trick Card Users

May 2nd, 2011 by admin
New credit card consumer protection laws will NOT stop banks from stealing your money. Grab hold of your wallets and purses…your bank is coming for more of your money.

The so-called epic Credit Card Act of 2009 simply has shifted how banks will attempt to steal your money. Please follow along closely, as we take a look a the 5 good and bad points of this Credit Card Act.

#1. Limit Retroactive Rate Increases. While this sounds great in theory, don’t get overly excited. Credit card lenders can still raise your rates on a new balance at any time with 45 days’ notice.

#2. Revised Rate Hike Notice. As mentioned above, longer notification is now in effect for rate hikes, which provides 45 days notification rather than the former 15 day notice. However, this provision does not apply to credit limit changes so be sure to keep an eye on total available credit!

#3. Restricts Under-Age Credit Consumers. If you’re under 21, you won’t get flooded with credit card offers…without a cosigner that is. I’m sure this will inconvenience some, but for many parents this is needed. Plan to prove income as well if you want the credit.

#4. Does Away with Double-Cycle Billing. A nice touch but to offset losses, many credit cards intend to increase fees especially among those that pay their bill in full each month. Paying on-time each month will not be enough. If you fail to generate enough PROFIT for your card issuer (or card issuers) you will pay an annual fee for the privilege of using the card. No free rides.

#5. Establishes Minimum Monthly Payments. Trying to use credit as cash w/o payments is no longer. Under this legislation, you now must make minimum monthly payments during the interim. Interest rate charges can still be waived, but the federal government now demands consumers make some type of payment each month. Additionally, your credit card statement now will state clearly how long it will take you to pay off your balance making just the minimum monthly payment. Be prepared to scream when you see this date, if you typically pay just the minimum.

For years, too many people have lived off credit cards, either by choice or necessity. Other people who have managed their credit (cards) wisely will discover their credit limits have been slashed 50%, dropping their credit scores by as much as 75-100 points. They did nothing wrong. They didn’t pay late. They didn’t default on any other payment. They became collateral damage for banks quickly and ruthlessly reducing its risk – slashing credit limits across the board. Ouch! I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the days of living on credit are ending.

Please – before you lash out in a fit of anger, vowing never to do business with greedy banks – do not cut up your credit cards. Once you calm down, review the cards you have:

1. Which card or cards have you had the longest?
2. Are they credit cards or department store cards?
3. Do they report to all 3 bureaus?
4. How is your CREDIT LIMIT reported? If they’re department store cards, confirm that your balance is NOT reported as the credit limit. Warning: most department store charge cards are reported that way to the BIG 3 credit reporting agencies. Pay them down or off and then use each one occasionally for something you MUST buy, not something you feel compelled to buy just because you have a card in your pocket.
5. Keep your oldest cards and use each one occasionally – use your Visa/Mastercard for groceries and gas %26 pay them off each month. For cards you don’t use in 90 days, furnishers stop reporting activity to BIG 3.

You need to keep your credit file clean and good even if you don’t want new credit and don’t plan to pursue a new job or job promotion. If waking up to banks slashing your credit limit is your worst nightmare, consider yourself lucky not to be the person stuck with $41,258.46 in credit card debt %26 just slammed with universal default, that is an interest rate 29.9%. How do you avoid this quicksand?

Bad credit repair advocate Mike Payne helps people avoid costly credit tricks and traps. Please don’t wait for your credit to get trashed. Get informed now about credit and credit cards. Don’t expect your bank to help you. They already have one hand in your pocket as they’re pushing you toward their buddies in consumer credit counseling. How long to repair credit after a bankruptcy to qualify for a home mortgage?

Please provide information about experiance or knowledge relating to the amount of time it takes to repair ones credit after a chapter 7 bankruptcy. All loans reaffrimed thru bankruptcy have always been on track and have remained current. Any info provided would be a great help. Thanks

Answer
You can qualify for basically whatever you want immediately after bankruptcy. If you have enough money for a larger than average down payment a bank will be willing to work with you.
Of course, if you have enough money for that the IRS may decide to look into your bankruptcy a bit.

The bankruptcy will be on your record at least 10 years after you file – I am speaking from experience on this matter. I filed in 1999 and it is still there….But, I have more credit now then I did when I filed then.

If you are a man it is easier for you to rebuild your credit. I don’t know why this is, but it is the truth.

Good luck to you, bankruptcy is not fun, but sometimes a clean slate is the only way to go!

How to Repair Credit Report and Improve Credit Score

April 23rd, 2011 by admin

With the economic situation the way it is and home values down, many people have found that their once perfect credit is now tainted with late fees, over limit fees, closed accounts, and in the worse situations credit cards and loans that can no longer be paid, along with possibly bankruptcy or even foreclosure.  However, with all these negative marks on their credit, credit scores are now even more important than before and banks, car dealerships, mortgage companies, and credit card companies are making getting loans and credit even harder than before.  Not to mention that jobs, insurance companies, and a slew of other companies are also pulling credit reports now before approving applications or even offering jobs.  In the dire straight of the economy the need to repair credit report has become even more imperative than before.  Even if you plan to never own a credit card again or always pay in cash, fixing the credit you have is still important and if you can should be done.

Some basic steps to fix your credit to improve credit score are:

Get all your credit reports, from all three agencies, which are Trans Union, Experian, and Equifax Make sure all the information on the reports are correct Fix any and all information that is incorrect, misspelled, or wrong in any way Have any incorrect accounts or information removed immediately Contact the credit bureaus by filling out the appeal form they offer and by phone when necessary Contact all banks and credit card companies to see about negotiating terms to lower your interest rate, payment amount, and to remove all late fees and over limit fees Cancel almost all your credit cars, keep one or two for emergencies, but cancel the rest Close all loan accounts, even if they are not paid yet, close them now as you pay them off If the banks or credit card companies will not work with you, contact a credit repair agency to negotiate terms for you Make sure to make all payments on time from there on out Do not open any new accounts or apply for any additional loans, the extra hits on your credit will lower your score further, especially if you are denied

Credit report repair usually takes time.  It will not happen overnight.  It will take a lot of patience and due diligence to improve credit score.  Making payments on time every month and correcting your credit reports will make the biggest difference.  Also, again do not apply for more credit.  Every hit on your credit report lowers your credit score even further.  Remembering that it will take time and not to become frustrated or give up.  Following these simple steps to repair credit report will pay off over time.  After a year or two you will see definite improvements on your credit reports and probably in your business relations as well.  It is never a hopeless situation, no matter how bad your credit report looks, it can be repaired.  Information does fall off after a few years and you can get your credit back on track and in good standing again.

Repair Credit Report Tips

April 20th, 2011 by admin

Have you pulled your credit report and seen a lower score than expected? Or were you denied financing on a car or home because of a low score? You are not alone in these happenings. Many people are struggling to improve credit score and possibly trying to get out of bad credit as well.

With so many factors affecting people and their credit, such as the housing market dropping out and people facing job loss and cuts in pay, credit scores have gone down. More and more people need to repair credit report to get back on their feet again. Even when they are now financially secure again, their low credit score from when they hit tough times can affect them for years to come.

These low scores make fully getting back on your feet difficult. Being turn down for a car loan or home loan can mean never fully being as secure as you once were. Also, receiving high interest rates on these loans also means not being able to receive the loan due to a payment much higher than necessary because of the interest rate. Not only that, but many companies run credit reports when you apply for a job, look to get health or car insurance, or even applying for a bank debit card.

These companies run credit reports and many times you can be denied if you have any negative marks on your report. Looking to repair credit report will make many aspects of your life easier than before. Here are a few tips on how to improve your credit score:

Request copies of all three of your credit reports from the three major credit Bureaus, which are Equifax, Experience, and Trans Union. Make sure everything on the reports are correct. If you find any errors fill out the form that comes with your report and make sure they are corrected. Have any and all incorrect information changed and fixed. This can mean a huge change in your credit score. Having negative marks removed means less problems and hassles. Cancel all your credit cards and loans that you do not need. Doing this will create less chances of having credit problems again. Only keep one or two cards for emergency if you have to. Eliminating all credit cards means you will never come into the same problems again, since you will only be using cash. Come up with a payment plan to repay credit cards and loans on a timely basis. If you cannot make all the payments, then you need to contact a credit repair bureau to help you negotiate with the credit card companies and banks. They can help you get your interest rate lowered, lower your payment, and remove interest and over limit fees. Doing this also means you could get your debt paid off in half the time as before. Make sure to make all payments on time. Never miss a payment and if unforeseen circumstances arise, make sure to contact the necessary people immediately to work the problem. Many times people do not say anything or let anyone know and the problem becomes worse. There are credit card companies and banks that would much rather work with you if you are financially strapped and help you stay out of debt. Make sure you contact them and work out the problem you’re having. Do not continually apply for credit cards and loans. The more times your credit report is pulled, the lower your score goes. Every hit on your credit lowers your score by approximately 5 points. Only apply when absolutely necessary. Opt out whenever possible of any company that could pull your credit report. Eliminate unnecessary onlookers onto your report. The fewer people or companies that see your report the better. Furthermore, part of repairing your credit report and score is to realize that not everything is an emergency.

Saving to buy something and eliminating the have it now attitude will keep you out of credit problems as well. Staying consistent in your payments and looking at what you really need versus what you want, will help keep you on track too. Making payments on time is important and will become difficult to do if you rack up all your debt again.

Trying to create a savings account and having emergency money available so that when unexpected expenses arise, you can safely take care of them without damaging your credit again. Even when you do not have a lot of money to save, anything helps and over time will give you the security you need and want. Trying these credit report repair tips will help you get back the credit you deserve.

I am trying to raise my credit score quickly. Right now I am at 593-around 650 depending on agency. Repair Credit How To Repair

April 17th, 2011 by admin

If you have a low credit score, then your credit needs to be repaired, otherwise chances are, you will be paying a very high interest rate on your loans, or you may not even qualify at all. Not only will you have trouble getting loans, but you may even be turned down for needed insurance all because you do not have good credit. No matter how you realized you need to repair your credit, it is never too late.

The first thing you need to do to repair your credit is to find out why your credit score is so low. What is causing your credit to not be so good? Obviously, that problem, if you can find it, will need to be resolved, either by you, or if you are unable to resolve or fix the problem that is causing your low credit score, chances are, a credit repair company will be able to help fix the problem for you.

The way to try to find the problem that is causing your credit score to be low if you want to try it yourself is to look through a copy of your credit report for anything questionable, mistakes made, or anything else that might be causing your low credit score. You would be surprised how many mistakes credit card companies can make! And, it’s amazing how fast a bunch of little mistakes can add up! Especially if it is one tiny mistake, but it is reoccurring constantly!
