Credit Repair Companies Can Help

June 11th, 2011 by admin

Some people turn to credit repair companies when they find themselves unable to solve their credit problems themselves. In fact, the credit repair industry has boomed with financial and economic crisis causing people to be in debt and face unemployment.

In facing debt you have two options: You can fix it yourself or seek professional help. Trying to work on your own means contacting all creditors, negotiating and paperwork – this can be burdensome and you’ll need a lot of effort and patience to make it through. If you choose to ask for assistance, you have to pay a fee for their services.

Credit repair companies then can make things simpler for you. But the industry has been facing a lot of negative feedback due to credit repair scams that take advantage of people who turn to them for help. Aside from that, many people think that they will only be paying high fees for these services.

Truth is, there are many repair companies that have gained repute for helping a lot of people with credit troubles and many of those companies charge little fees since they obtain their income from the creditors.

But remember that the bad reputation of the industry did not come from nowhere. It is a fact that there are numerous debt repair scams scattered all over the internet. If you are considering a credit repair company, always make sure that you make a thorough background check and ask people who have used their services for testimonies.

Credit repair service can help you do negotiations if you are not able to make your payment on time. If you are facing debt that is long overdue, they can find ways to reduce the debt to an amount that you can handle. Some are also well equipped to handle problems from foreclosures to identity theft.

Dealing with credit problems can be very stressful. It is best to hire a company where one person will be in charge of your account instead of a company where you talk to different people every time you check in. It’s very important for a credit repair executive to get to know you so that he or she can easily understand your situation and would know what he needs to make the negotiations with your creditors run smoothly.

Lastly, keep in mind that while a credit repair company can help you a lot, that does not mean you are free of any responsibility. The company can not do everything for you. For instance, they do not have the right to get your credit report – that is something you have to do yourself. They also cannot perform miracles by erasing correct information that is in your file. They also cannot delete all of your outstanding debts and your bad marks on your profile. You will still have to pay your debts but at le

Does anyone know of a legitimate long term loan lender for bad credit?

I have made some mistakes with my credit and want to clean things up. I want a loan to pay off everything and have just one payment so that I can repair my credit. The problem I’m running into is that someone claims to be a legitimate lender and need money to transfer the funds or to send them western union and it turns out to be a scam.

Answer
I honestly would not ask this question online. Go to your bank and tell them your situation. If they refuse you credit (which they may due to your bad credit), lay it on the line for them. Tell them you need to do this and you need them to give you a few recommendations.

They may not have any for you…but then again, they may. It’s worth a shot.

If they really can’t help you, ask friends and family who they have *already used* and *already have experience with*.

But if you ask online, you run the risk of simply getting a lot of scammers who are trying to entice you to click on their sites so they can obtain and sell your information, or so that you can “bump them up” in a silly pyramid scheme that never really seems to make anybody rich in the end, etc., etc.

If you really do want to look online for a creditor, be very, very, very careful. Do not click on ANY links that seem at all suspicious and do not believe ANY “testimonials”…get facts, get them in writing, get them ahead of time and never, ever give your personal information out over the internet. Go to see the lender and sit down with him or her (if the lender is legitimate, there will be an actual building, with actual employees).

Good luck.

Get Your Bad Credit Fixed

June 11th, 2011 by admin

It is important to maintain a good credit standing in order to obtain future credit and property purchases. But there will always be situations and circumstances wherein the good credit standing will be affected, such as lost of job or budget cut.

Inevitable such circumstances will be but it should not be a cause of major concern in the life of an individual. If your credit score has significantly decreased, there is always a solution – that is through credit repair.

There are companies that offer services for fixing your bad credit. But these companies should adhere to the federal rules and regulations. Always remember this: do not believe with false advertisements of scrupulous companies claiming that they could fix your bad credit in just one day. There are due processes to follow and it may take more than one week before the credit repair will take into place.

Here are some of the options you may resort in fixing your bad credit:

- By do it yourself credit repair
- By the services of credit repair companies
- By credit repair by attorney

First and foremost, before resorting to any of the above-mentioned options, you need to obtain your credit report from any of the three major credit reporting agencies: Equifax, Experian or Transunion. Since these credit reporting agencies provide free consumer credit report once every year, you may want to avail this service. It will be much better if you can get hold of your credit report from all of these three credit reporting agencies.

Fixing a credit score starts with maintaining accurate facts on your credit information. If there are red marks on your credit reports that contribute to the decrease in your credit score, it is extremely important to claim dispute on any inaccurate information. You might want to utilize legal credit repair done by attorneys. This can be one of your credit repair solution because credit lawyers are fairly equipped with knowledge of the credit laws. This could mean that they know where to start fixing your credit. However, lawyers may charge their professional services at a certain fee.

Credit Repair Understand How it Works

June 11th, 2011 by admin

Considering the fact that personal debt is at an all-time high, a number of people have found that they have overstressed themselves and have become immersed in bad credit. As their debt grows, they can’t help but get more and more behind. and their credit score pays the price. If you are one of the many who is having problems with your credit, you may be considering credit repair as a way to get back on track. It is important to note Before you sign up for a repair plan, that make sure that you understand exactly what is involved in repairing your credit score. while there are a lot of such agencies that are legitimate, there are also some that seek to defraud those who need help and perform services that are both immoral and illegal.

Understand What Credit Repair Is

The goal of credit repair is to improve your credit score and get you back on track financially after past credit problems. A variety of repair services exist, providing everything from credit counseling and debt negotiation to debt consolidation loans and budgeting advice. When used properly, credit repair services can not only help you to get caught up with your bills and on the path to a better credit score but they can help you to avoid bankruptcy and set you up to avoid credit problems in the future.

Quick fix and Credit repair are just not the same, the latter takes time and if done properly yield a long lasting result. If an offer claims that they can instantly grant you new credit, then it’s likely not only bogus but can also get you into legal trouble if you accept it.

Types of Credit Repair

As stated above, it can take several different forms. Credit counseling services provide assistance with the budgeting and repayment of your debts, and offer advice on simple ways to improve your credit without additional loans. They also often provide debt negotiation, which is the working out of

a settlement with your creditors so that you only have to repay a portion of your original debt within a certain timeframe. Debt consolidation loans are also used for the purposes of the repair, allowing you to take out a loan in order to pay off outstanding debts and leaving you with a single monthly loan payment instead of several different payments. Budgeting assistance services are also available to help you get control of your spending and personal finances.

How To Avoid Credit Repair Scams

There will always be unsavory individuals who seek to make money off of those who are in need of assistance. Any such service that promises instant results or that offers to simply create a new credit report for you should be avoided. what they’re really creating is a business tax identification number, and any individual who uses one is in danger of being charged with fraud and possibly other charges. Credit repair takes time; if an offer sounds too good to be true, then it likely is. For instance, an offer that promises two days, one week credit repair must be carefully checked.

You Can Repair Your Credit

Of course, by paying off old debts and establishing and maintaining new lines of credit you can begin the process of credit repair yourself. Request a copy of your credit report and check it for errors, and then focus on clearing the debts that appear as negative reports. It may take some time for all of the negative reports to expire, but by preventing new ones while increasing your positive reports your credit score will slowly improve on its own.

You may freel

How does “credit repair” work ?

Ive seen the ads for years and assumed that they were just semi-scams that repeatedly request for things to be removed over & over until someone forgets to verify it and then they get removed.

Well, I had a tax lien for past due taxes filed withOUT notifying me like they are supposed to.

It hurt my score by about 88 points because of the tax lien.

The lien has now been released as I have got up to date on my taxes and they are sending a refund.

Should I just repeatedly tell them its false to hopefully get them to remove it ?

Those firms apparently guarantee results.

Im not going to pay anyone because in all likely hood, I will never borrow again in my life. (Other than credit card bills that are paid in full every month)

But, I used to take pride in my 769 score. Now its 681 and its just average and I hate it.

How To Use A Credit Repair Company

June 11th, 2011 by admin

Credit repair is possible if you use a good credit repair company. They will usually find a way to help you fix your bad credit. They rely on working with the credit bureaus and making sure that everything that is on your credit report is your debt. If you have bad credit, it does not have to remain that way forever. You can get a credit repair company to help you clear up your bad credit in various ways.

The first thing that the company will do is take a look at your credit report.  There are certain things on the credit report that are easier to remove than others. Charge offs are one thing that can be removed by the credit repair company. When it comes to your credit, a charge off, which is when an attempt to collect a debt does not amount to anything and the company writes it off. This damages the credit for seven years.  A good credit repair company can often make this disappear from your credit report and give you credit repair by demanding the proof of the debt. In many cases, the proof of the original debt has become lost as it is passed from one collection agency to another. The original creditor has to provide the credit bureaus with proof of debt in thirty days or it is removed from the credit report.

Other types of credit repair are those debts that show up on your credit report that do not belong to you. The credit repair company will then work towards proving that these debts are not yours and will clear up your credit.  If you want to fix bad credit, you need the help of a good credit repair company that will do the work for you. They can make your credit score rise higher so that you can buy a car or even a house.

If you have suffered because of bad credit, you do not have to continue to suffer.  You will be surprised at what a good credit repair company can do for you when it comes to credit repair. If you are looking for a way to repair bad credit, you can enlist their aid. You will have to sign forms so that they can represent you when it comes to clearing up your credit and they will usually take a fee for their services. This can be well worth it to have a credit score that can enable you to take advantage of the bargains that are now out there when it comes to homes as well as cars that are traditionally bought on credit.

Instead of having to wait ten years because of bad credit to buy anything or have good credit, you can opt for credit repair. As credit is often checked when it comes to employment, this is also a good reason to make sure that you get your credit repaired to the point where you are a good candidate for a loan.

If you are looking for credit repair, you can go with a company that can do this for you. For a good credit repair company, go to National Credit Fixers.

Is there any way for a credit repair company to set up an account to pull credit for its clients?

I am trying to start a credit repair company but I have not found a company to go through to pull credit. All the companies seem to only work with mortgage companies. HELP!

Answer
i agree with the poster above, why not have the clients pull their own accounts (they can do this for free three times a year).
Be ware however, that credit repair is a hard market to serve….most often they want YOU and your company to be magicians….
Is there another kind of business that you can run on the side…I really think that this business will be more trouble than it is worth.
With that said, I was of the impression that anyone can pull anyone’s credit with the subject’s permission. Work with a lawyer and have them create a consent form for you. I just checked my credit report and it was pulled LITERALLY 12 times in the past 7 months. 9 of these pulls were ‘soft pulls’ meaning that I did not initiate any of them.
Saying that to say that there is a way. I just dont know what it is

Warning Signs of a Credit Repair Fraud

June 11th, 2011 by admin

The last thing someone with a poor credit score needs is to have to deal with yet another financial setback which is just one reason why credit repair scammers are such a cancer in the credit world. They promise the world to people who are desperate for a better credit score and at the least, leave them lighter in the pocketbook with nothing to show for it. And at worse, they can lower people’s credit score, get them sued by creditors, or even get them in legal trouble.

Credit repair scammers also have the effect of damaging the reputation of the entire industry causing consumers, companies, and officials to doubt even the best credit repair companies, many of which have been in business for a decade or more and combined have helped millions of people legally repair their credit scores. And perhaps this is the worst thing about credit repair scams, they keep people who could genuinely benefit from credit repair services from giving it a try. For every person who does get taken by a credit repair scam, there are probably dozens more who have avoided seeking help because of the fear of being taken.

But this does not have to be the case. There are signs you can look for to detect a credit repair scam and by knowing what to look out for, you can find a company you can trust.

Here are four warning signs of a credit repair scam:

Get a New Credit Report – This gets pitched as the ultimate way to get rid of bad credit. Instead of trying to clean up your existing credit reports, these scammers claim to be able to help you get a brand new credit report. And while they may be able to do so by tricking the credit bureaus to generate a new report using a fake Social Security number, having that new credit report will not solve your credit problems. Not only will you still have poor credit (no credit does not equal good credit), but if you attempt to use your new credit report to get a loan or other line of credit, you are breaking the law. You could end up with the same poor credit score plus a criminal record.

Large Upfront Payment – Thieves want to get your money and get away. They’ll break your car window, grab the stereo and run. They’ll come through your back door, head straight for the jewelry and get out of the house before anyone is the wiser. Credit repair scammers can be the same way. They’ll take all the money upfront, often times many hundreds or thousands of dollars, and while they may pretend for a while to be doing something to help you, they already have what they want and are merely covering their tracks. Any company that requires you to pay hundreds of dollars before they will do anything for you should be avoided.

No Credit Repair Contract – You have a right to know what a company is going to do for you, how much it will cost, and when you will be expected to pay. You also have a right to know all the fine print surrounding any guarantees and to know exactly what the cancellation procedure is. And because of this, the Credit Repair Organizations Act requires that companies provide you with a written contract that must be signed before any work can begin. Simply put, if a company does not have a contract, they should not have your business.

Only Accept Cash or Money Orders – What better way to get away with a con than to make sure you get all your profits in cash? There’s no paper trail and no method for charge backs. Once you have the money, it is up to the other person to prove not only that you acquired it fraudulently, but they also have to prove exactly how much you have taken. And for a few hundred dollars, most of the time, it simply isn’t worth the work which is a perfect situation for a scammer. These days, unless you are the neighborhood lawnmower, just about every legitimate company accepts credit. Be very skeptical of any credit repair company that does not.

What are some good credit cards for credit repair that AREN’T scams?

I’ve never had a credit card (although my credit sucks) and heard they’re a great way to repair credit. Any tips?

Answer
First all, if you’re trying to repair your credit, the APR shouldn’t matter because if you’re really committed you will pay off all bills in full every month!

Try the credit cards offered by your bank first. Banks have a soft-spot for their customers and that can be a positive factor in their credit approval.

Next, look at cards offered by Chase, CapitalOne or Citibank. These are reputable company.

Orchard Bank should never be a choice if you’re building credit. In my opinion, their lending practices border on predatory. Fees are outrageous, and they are not very good at disclosing hidden ones.

If your credit is as bad as your say, be prepared.
You may be denied.
You may be offered a secured credit card.
You may be offered a credit card with a higher rate.

If you’re denied for credit, don’t keep trying. Wait for at least 6 months before you try again. When you apply for a credit card, the lender will get your credit report. The more you apply for credit, the lower your score can get and less like you are to be approved for credit.

Vicious cycle, right?

If the credit card has a high APR, consider accepting the card. The high APR will only affect you if you carry a balance at the end of each statement cycle. BUT pay off everything when the bill comes.

If you do this, you won’t see your credit improve right away. It may takes anywhere from 1-7 years to repair your credit.

If you were offered a secured credit card, think twice. Lenders don’t just look at your credit score or whether you have a good repayment history. They also look at the type of credit lines you have.

The Credit Repair Organizations Act

June 11th, 2011 by admin

By law, credit repair organizations must give you a copy of the ‘Consumer Credit File Rights Under State and Federal Law’ before you sign a contract. They also must give you a written contract that spells out your rights and obligations. Read these documents before you sign anything. The law contains specific protections for you. For example, a credit repair company cannot:
– make false claims about their services
– charge you until they have completed the promised services
– perform any services until they have your signature on a written contract and have completed a three-day waiting period. During this time, you can cancel the contract without paying any fees

Your contract must specify:
– the payment terms for services, including their total cost
– a detailed description of the services to be performed
– how long it will take to achieve the results
– any guarantees they offer
– the company’s name and business address

Have You Been Victimized?

Many states have laws regulating credit repair companies. State law enforcement officials may be helpful if you’ve lost money to credit repair scams.

If you’ve had a problem with a credit repair company, don’t be embarrassed to report it.
While you may fear that contacting the government will only make your problems worse, remember that laws are in place to protect you. Contact your local consumer affairs office or your state Attorney General (AGs). Many AGs have toll-free consumer hotlines.

Check the Blue Pages of your telephone directory for the phone number for a list of state Attorneys General.

Need Help? Don’t Despair

Just because you have a poor credit report doesn’t mean you won’t be able to get credit. Creditors set their own credit-granting standards and not all of them look at your credit history the same way. Some may look only at more recent years to evaluate you for credit, and they may grant credit if your bill-paying history has improved. It may be worthwhile to contact creditors informally to discuss their credit standards.

If you’re not disciplined enough to create a workable budget and stick to it, work out a repayment plan with your creditors, or keep track of mounting bills, consider contacting a credit counseling organization. Many credit counseling organizations are nonprofit and work with you to solve your financial problems. But not all are reputable. For example, just because an organization says it is a ‘nonprofit,’ there’s no guarantee that its services are free, affordable, or even legitimate. In fact, some credit counseling organizations charge high fees, or hide their fees by pressuring consumers to make ‘voluntary’ contributions that only cause more debt.

Most credit counselors offer services through local offices, the Internet, or on the telephone. If possible, find an organization that offers in-person counseling. Many universities, military bases, credit unions, housing authorities, and branches of the U.S. Cooperative Extension Service operate nonprofit credit counseling programs. Your financial institution, local consumer protection agency, and friends and family also may be good sources of information and referrals.

If you are considering filing for bankruptcy, you should know about one major change to the bankruptcy laws: As of October 17, 2005, you must get credit counseling from a government-approved organization within six months before you file for bankruptcy relief. You can find a state-by-state list of government-approved organizations at the website of the U.S. Trustee Program, the organization within the U.S. Department of Justice that supervises bankruptcy cases and trustees.

Reputable credit counseling organizations can advise you on managing your money and debts, help you develop a budget, and offer free educational materials and workshops. Their counselors are certified and trained in the areas of consumer credit, money and debt management, and budgeting. Counselors discuss your entire financial situation with you, and help you develop a personalized plan to solve your money problems. An initial counseling session typically lasts an hour, with an offer of follow-up sessions.

Tampa Credit Repair Options

June 10th, 2011 by admin
It is very easy to get confounded as far as the Tampa credit repair options are concerned because there is too much hype extensive publicity. There is simply too much advertising and one wonders where to go or what to do. It is important to carry out a little online investigation before one can engage any credit repair service because when you pick one, you will have to divulge facts about all your financial dealings to the credit repair servi8ce that you choose. With this information being quite private, it would be foolhardy to share it with any credit repair service you pick from any advertisement.

Once you have done your own online investigations on the options of credit repair in Tampa you can now proceed to find out what methods they have for credit repair and what the company’s background is in the Tampa area. You will also need to know if they are able to fulfill your credit repair requirements and then set apart some time for a personal meeting.

Any credit repair company will have to give you information on their services and what to expect and will help you understand how they work giving you information every step of the way because credit repair is not an easy matter and requires time, consistency and tenacity. They should be able to answer all your queries and build a relationship with you based on the quality of being reliable and dependable.

You really have two choices when it comes to fixing your credit. You can either pay a credit repair company to do it for you or you can fix your credit yourself. It is advisable that you work on fixing your own credit because any credit repair company that you choose to do this for you will charge you money to do so and in most cases, their fees are hefty yet you are actually trying to repair your credit. But if you don’t have a high credit score and anytime you make an application for a loan you get rejects, it is time to think about fixing your credit. Credit repair professionals can easily spot the problems with your credit rating and help you fix the problem.

In most cases, it is negative information that you might not even know you are giving out that causes you to be denied financial assistance. Tampa credit repair options can be able to help you out with that. If you can get the Tampa credit repair companies to fix that, you will be able to get loans which you can repay and by repaying these loans, your credit ratings will improve. Most of the credit repair is actually done while you repay your loans and when you get a loan like this; it is called a credit repair loan. By servicing your loan, you begin to improve your standings in the credit ratings because most banks and lending institutions look at your debt repayment habits. The other option would be to wait until your credit rating improves but because this can take years while you might need credit facilities sooner, it would be better to find ways to effectively and efficiently repair your credit ratings.

Ingrid Valdera is a well-known finance expert, with many years writing books and articles about credit repair in Tampa and credit repair options in general.

Those of you who have used Lexington Law credit repair services, how did it work out?

I’d like to know of anyone who has actually used Lexington Law credit repair and of their experience. I’ve gotten mixed reviews on the company, so I’d like to hear from some actual users. Was it successful? How long did it take? Any problems? How was their communication/customer service? Do you get to talk to a real lawyer ever?

Credit cards are no more a luxury today – they became a necessity. And a lot of folks have more than one cards. Because of that, the credit card business is growing fast.

But, there is a significant problem that the credit card industry and credit card holders have. It is named Credit Card Debt. You have a credit account with your credit card provider and the card represents that account. You borrow the money from your provider when you make payments with the card. And that contributes toward your debt.

The debt grows even faster as long as you make just monthly minimum payments and do not keep under control your spending habits. Quickly you will find that what was once a quite small debt has grown into a huge amount that you think is nearly not possible to repay.

It requires time to restore your credit; you are not able to do it overnight. To begin in a clean slate once again requires hard work and dedication.

You will find lots of companies on the market that claim instant and legal solutions for your debt and credit problems. Just bear in mind  that nearly all of them will not deliver. Often they obtain their fees and evaporate.

How can I fix my credit debt that my parents messed up?

When I was younger about 14 or 15 my parents got credit cards in my name (which i think is illegal but it was to help at the time) but hard times hit and they kept using them although we didnt have the money. So eventually she stopped using them but now im way in debt and they cant afford to pay it off and neither can i ( i am only 19 years old).

i cant get a decent apartment or get credit cards and some jobs that require a credit check… cant get those

im going on a trip to cancun but i need a credit card but i need to fix my credit which is the most important thing to me right now.

if i get legal help my parents could get in serious trouble which of course me being their child i dont want

can anyone help at all?

Answer
Actually… It is illegal for the credit beauro’s to report any credit what so ever on a minor. So you can file disputes will the three major credit reporting agencies… Transunion Experian and Equifax…. Once you file a dispute on those credit card debts they have 30 days to prove that the debt is yours, if the credit card companies can’t prove it then they MUST remove it from your credit… Just simply state these debt(‘s) do not belong to me and there is no way they could be associated with me due to the fact that the date they were established I was a minor. Btw they won’t do anything to your parents.

Check Credit Repair Sample Letters Before You Write Yours

June 10th, 2011 by admin

Credit repair is not something you do everyday and things might seem very difficult especially if you are doing it for the first time. A credit repair letter is aimed at improving your financial standing and should be done right. You might have some expert handling the process for you but if you are dealing with your own credit problems, then you will find it useful to look at the sample letters available before writing any letters to lenders, collectors or the credit report agencies. This will give you an idea of what to include or omit to avoid making things worse.

You need to know what kind of letter you are intending to write and to whom before starting to find one. The letter you write will open a chain of communication between you and the recipient until your credit report is rectified or an agreement is reached. The sample letters will help you know how to write clear, concise and professional letters to the companies. There are so many sample letters online for whatever kind of letter you want to write and you can access them free.

There is specific information required in the letter and you may not know which one it is unless you look at a sample letter. Remember that you might be required to write more letters before you can achieve what you want hence you should find various sample letters to know what to write in each instance. Sample letters act as guides hence they do not have to look like them but can be tailored to fit what you want.

The language and tone used in the credit repair letters is important since the worst thing to do is to make the letter sound like a threat to the companies. You have to use polite language to make them understand why you need corrections made to your credit report without appearing rude. It is worth taking your time to find the best way to communicate to the companies instead if using ineffective ways that only serve to lengthen the time you need to repair your credit ratings.
