Checking Interest Rate To Find The Best Credit Card Offers

August 23rd, 2011 by admin

With so many offers available today, it’s not difficult to find a right type of credit card offer. But the problem is that sometimes it becomes confusing to determine the type of card that suits your needs adequately. That’s the big reason why it makes a lot of sense to do some research and then pick a credit card.

In order to select one of the best credit card offers, you need to keep a few important points in mind. For instance:

Always make sure you select a credit card after paying full attention to the interest rate it charges. It is important to check this point because some credit cards don’t require you to pay any interest; these cards work as debit account. On other occasions, you have to deal with a high interest rate; this happens when you choose credit cards for bad credit. in both cases, it’s important to determine your needs and then pay attention to the interest rate to clinch the perfect deal.

At the time of submitting your credit card offer, it’s important that you also check the change in the interest rate after a specific period. Some credit cards come with low or zero interest rate, but this goes on like this only for a set period of time, known as ‘grace period’.

The problem here is that though you enjoy the benefit of not paying high or any interest for a limited period, but everything takes a bad shape when this grace period is over. The interest rate takes a hike and it becomes difficult to deal with it. That’s why it’s of immense importance to check this point before finalizing a deal. And make sure you check the interest rate before and after the completion of a specific period.

The fact of the matter is that you have to pay attention to the interest rate when picking credit cards. Make sure you know the exact interest rate, not only at the time of shopping for a card but also after a few months of use. Paying close attention to these two points is surely going to help you select a perfect credit card deal.

Credit-land.com is the place to find all the very best credit cards. Whether you are searching for debit cards or you want business or student apply for a credit card, you can easily select one according to your needs and requirements. So, come have a look at what’s available for the taking.

Insatant approval AND Rush delivery credit cards?

my credit score is 684. are there any credit card websites where I can get instant approval online AND get rush delivery shipping so I can get the credit card in 2-3 days? Also, is 684 good or fair credit (b/c I need to apply for the right card!).

Answer
I read your previous question, and put it together with this one into one answer for you. Capital One will not give you a second account, you may only have 1 account at a time. SOME card issuers DO overnight cards to you after it has been processed. Do not be fooled by others saying that they wont do it. My BOA card was rushed overnight to me a few years back when I took the fam on vacation. Some companies will charge the fee to ship it. There is a problem here, you have decnt credit, which most companies will probably not approve you instantly, and will say to wait 14 business days for approval status, which means from the sound of your situation, you will keep applying at other places. This will put bad marks on your credit, further hurting your chances of approval.

In closing, think about whether or not you REALLY need to go on this cruise. Also, think about if you can afford to pay the card back. From how it sounds to me, you can’t afford this trip. It is not a necessity, maybe call your parents.

Aide in Applying for Credit Cards Find out the Bad and Good Use of Credit Cards

June 10th, 2011 by admin

Even today, regular consumers are placed at a disadvantage because of a lot of misinformation and deceptive promotions surrounding the credit card system. This insufficient understanding leads many to financial trouble. Hence, prior to applying for bank cards, do some reading up first to better understand all the responsibilities involved in owning a credit card. Furthermore, honestly evaluate yourself if you possess the mental attitude and self-discipline not to improperly use credit cards. Failure to recognize the significance of having adequate information of the credit card system, and not limiting the utilization of your card to your actual future earnings can result in a bad credit score.

But one of the prime rewards of having credit cards (if you do not miss payments) is it helps you establish a positive credit history and which can lead to offers of a more appealing interest rate and larger credit limits. In addition, credit cards are tools that can not only help establish and boost your credit score, they can also destroy or mar your credit score when not used properly. So ask yourself why you are applying for a credit card. Check whether you are driven by a financially foolhardy reason that may just cause regrets. Future worry from bad debts on needless purchases are warded off with this simple action of first examining yourself on whether or not you are going to use your card prudently.

The Lousy Reasons

If you’re applying for a credit card so that you can spend the money that you do not have or which you are yet to earn, you may have to take a step back and rethink this unhealthy outlook on credit. Credit cards are indeed popular since they enable people who find themselves with insufficient money to provide for their needs , but excessive reliance in credit cards for this specific purpose can also result in credit card debt problems later on.

Credit card challenges creep in with a few late payments here and there and going beyond your spending budget on a handful of occassions. But at some point when you do not reign in your credit card spending, you may be tempted to engage in a fast fix of getting another plastic card to transfer your balance at a lower rate. But having more credit cards might also tempt you to spend more. Also be aware that this system of dealing with your credit card problem may also just bury you more deeply in debt. So cut down your spending to what is necessary to get back in the blue. Even only one delayed payment every year can mar your credit profile for many years. And having that on your record is really damaging to your attaining an approval for credit in the future.

Worthwhile Reasons for Owning Credit Cards

You ought to know that you are on the right track, if you’re applying for a credit card as your first step to achieving a a solid credit profile. There is certainly no better place to get started than getting a credit card with a good APR or annual interest rate and an adequate amount of credit card limit. Possessing a credit card enables you to enjoy many things for example, buy stuff over the internet; pay for the essentials such as groceries and food when you happen to be in a money pinch; and purchase a number of other things more conveniently and more safely than when using cash. However, the driving factor for using a credit card needs to be to build credit and not just expediency in making purchases. And before you can apply for a credit card with a larger borrowing limit, banking institutions will have to check your credit profile to assess whether or not you are creditworthy. At a minimum, they will be investigating your credit records within the previous six months to grant you a higher card limit.

Brand new credit card applicants also need to be notified that having a credit card would mean having your spending history compiled in a report for as long as ten years. Credit card agencies send reports with regards to your payments to credit bureaus. So if you are in the practice of paying up your bills promptly and not spending beyond your means, you will in all probability get an excellent credit score.

How can I build credit fast?

I have never had any credit before.

Answer
One great way to build credit fast is to get a secured VISA or MasterCard. A secured credit card is one in which you open up a savings account with the card issuing bank. This savings account is used as a security deposit for your credit card. Your credit limit is based on the amount that you deposit into the savings account. Once you have established a good record of payments on the credit card, the savings account funds are returned to you. Only use this secured credit card for gas or a few small purchases each month. When you get your bill, pay it immediately but overpay it by about $10 – $15. That way you always have a negative balance. The FICO system accelerates your credit rating quickly by doing this. Just make sure that you NEVER are late on making that payment. This method worked very well for me when I had very bad credit. After receiving my secured credit card, it took about 8 months before I was receiving pre-approved non secured VISA and MasterCard offers from large banks.

Credit Report Find Out Why a Free Credit Report Could Be Worth Thousands to You

May 20th, 2011 by admin

Free credit report worth thousands? Many people may think that’s a foolish statement. How can something free be potentially worth thousands of dollars? The fact is that your free credit report contains vital information that has direct bearing on every aspect of your life. It affects where you live, what car you drive, and even who you work for. In direct consequence, it affects the amount of dollars you’re able to earn and the amount of money you are able to save. It may even influence your child’s future and possible college education.

That is how important your credit rating is. But how can this be worth thousands? In essence, your credit report is the blueprint of your financial behavior. Banks, lenders, insurance companies and other credit institutions use it to gauge whether you’re a good or bad credit risk. Good risk clients get charged preferential (far lower) interest rates on credit and loans, thereby saving thousands of dollars over the duration of the loan or extended credit.

High risk clients are charged maximum interest rates. If you’re looking to buy a car and you’re charged prime interest, you will pay literally thousands of dollars more over a number of years than a customer who gets preferential low interest rates due to their good credit scores.

Get your free credit report and free credit score online

By requesting a free credit report online you will be able to see firsthand what your current credit status is. Your credit information may be accurate – and good – so you’ll know you’re on the right track to getting the best credit deals and lowest possible interest rates. But… if your credit report is poor or even bad, you’ll need to make some changes in your financial activities or it could cost you dearly.

Okay, so perhaps you’re one of those people who don’t like credit and have absolutely no intention of applying for credit in the foreseeable future. But things change. Life changes and circumstances change. Perhaps in a few years you would like to start your own business and borrow money from the bank. Guess what? Chances are pretty good that if your credit rating is low you’re not going to get dollar one. Or, if you do, they are going to charge you maximum interest on the loan and squeeze you for every penny they can. You see, banks and other lending institutions reward customers with good credit by giving them low interest rates. This is their way of attracting more people who are a good credit risk. Bad credit risks get slapped with high interest rates.

Here’s another scenario: a few years down the line you may want to buy a home. But if you’ve let your credit scores slide, you’re not going to get a mortgage loan – or any other loan for that matter. Or, at best, you’ll end up paying tens of thousands of dollars more in higher interest – all because you did not take the trouble to build up a good credit score. Which starts with the first step: getting your free credit report online right away.

The same scenario applies when you’re purchasing a car, or furniture – or anything else on credit. Lenders reward good credit scores with lower interest. You may not like it, but that is a fact of business. Any company who might want to extend credit to you wants to know that you’re a good risk – that only makes sense.

So do the smart thing and start monitoring and building up your credit scores now. Trust me, it will have a huge impact on your future and will save you thousands of dollars in the years to come.

Be proactive by requesting a free credit report and continue to monitor your credit status on a regular basis. It could potentially save you thousands of lowers in preferential interest rates on credit, loans and mortgage payments. You can obtain your Free Credit Report here at http://www.check-free-credit-report.com

You Can Find Bad Credit Credit Cards

May 17th, 2011 by admin

There are a great deal of people who presently have bad credit.  Just like everyone else there are times when they need to buy on credit.  What do they do?  Their credit rating makes it very difficult to get anything on credit.  There are bad credit credit cards available to people with poor credit.  It is possible to get one of these credit cards online at several different sites.

You probably won’t get the special offers that are offered by other credit card companies to people with good credit, but chances are you will qualify for a bad credit credit card.  You will most likely be asked to pay an annual fee along with a higher interest rate.  Don’t be surprised to see an interest rate of 19% or higher on these cards.  The credit card companies are taking a risk on you so the fees will be bigger than with a normal credit card.

When you have good credit you could qualify for an introductory no interest or low interest rate on a credit card.  This introductory rate will last anywhere from three months to six months after which there will be an interest rate that will be higher.  Some companies make there profit by raising this interest rate by a large percentage.  Always check what the annual percentage rate is going to be before you accept the credit card.  Make sure the introductory rate is worth it or if you would be better off getting a credit card with an interest rate that may be lower all the way through.

Bad credit credit cards will generally charge you for a balance transfer.  This fee varies but it may be high due to your bad credit.  Your credit can affect many different aspects of your life.  It makes getting a home and car very difficult.  It also means higher interest rates on credit cards.

You may have to apply to several credit card companies before you find one that will allow you a card.  Some credit card companies will offer a lower interest rate but the card must be secured.  This means you put up your own money before you can get anything on credit and you can’t go over the amount you put up.  The good thing about a secured credit card is the fact that it gives you a way to improve your credit score.  You must keep up the payments, however.

Check the internet for bad credit credit cards.  You should be directed to sites that deal in these cards.  They can be a way out of a bad situation if you use care.  That means only using the credit card when it is absolutely necessary.  Don’t purchase anything until you have paid off the first purchase.  That way you will be able to keep up with the payments each month.  You don’t want it to end up so big you can’t make the payment.  By using your head you can use a bad credit credit card and improve your credit score.

Credit Cards For Bad Credit

Is having 5-6 credit cards bad for your credit score?

I heard that having too many credit cards was bad for your credit. If I have 4 Store Credit Cards and 1 Visa Card and am planning to get another FINAL major credit card…is that too much?

Answer
Only if you do not manage them well.

The number of credit cards a person has is not important, how they manage them is.

Keep your balances below 30% of your credit limit and pay on time every month and you will be fine.

I had 14-credit cards at one time and my score was over 750. I only have 8 now and it’s still over 750 because I manage them well.

Bad Credit Mortgages How to Find the Best Deal for you

May 9th, 2011 by admin

The term bad credit mortgages is never music to a borrowers’ ears, yet for a variety of reasons, it might be that they find themselves falling into the bad credit mortgages camp. It would appear that, these days, having a bad credit score is not a problem when it comes to funding your home – after all, bad credit mortgages are advertised everywhere.

But, while it might be easy to secure this type of borrowing, consumers need to be especially careful about the deal they end up with; after all, once you start paying for bad credit mortgages is too late to understand the steep interest rates and tie-ins involved. That’s why it is imperative that you seek advice from an independent broker that specialises in bad credit mortgages first, like The Mortgage Broker Limited (TMBL).

What exactly are bad credit mortgages?

As they say on the tin, bad credit mortgages – also known as adverse credit, impaired credit or subprime mortgages – are designed to cater for borrowers with a low credit score on their personal credit file. This file is held (but not determined) by one of three credit reference agencies in the UK; namely Experian, Equifax and CallCredit. There are three primary levels of bad credit mortgages, light, adverse and heavy with several ‘shades of grey’ in between – but fundamentally, where you fall on this scale will determine the cost of bad credit mortgages.

Why would I need to look at bad credit mortgages?

At the end of the day, bad credit mortgages are loans of last resort – so why would your credit score be bad enough to warrant one? The straightforward reason is because you have either defaulted or been late in paying any debt. This could be any agreement from a mobile phone to a credit card to your Council Tax payment. Each of these ‘mistakes’ will appear on your credit score and can result in a County Court Judgment (CCJ) against you. The number of these CCJs you have on your file, with other information, will affect your credit score and, in turn, what level of bad credit mortgages you will need to opt for.

If I have to apply for bad credit mortgages, is it always my fault?

Consumers can often be left having to apply for bad credit mortgages through no fault of their own. Life changing circumstances such as a divorce, illness in the family or the collapse of a business can often result in bad credit mortgages.

What’s the difference between standard and bad credit mortgages?

The main point of difference between standard and bad credit mortgages is their cost. Depending on your circumstances, bad credit mortgages can be 100 per cent more expensive that the most competitive standard deals on the market – and even almost the same price if you only have a spattering of bad credit. But as the borrower poses a higher risk in the eyes of the lender, bad credit mortgages of any level can require a larger deposit than on mainstream deals. Bad credit mortgages can also come with some hefty upfront fees and restrictive tie-ins.

How can I get rid of bad credit mortgages?

The good news is that you will not have to stick with bad credit mortgages for ever. Having shown you can repay the loan successfully for a period of up to three years, you will then be eligible for a cheaper ‘high street’ mortgage again. That’s why you should never look at bad credit mortgages that carry tie-ins for more than three years.

How do I apply for bad credit mortgages?

It’s easy to apply for bad credit mortgages but there are an increasing number of pitfalls to navigate. As well as the three-year tie-in rule, the recent credit has meant many providers of bad credit mortgages have tightened lending criteria which makes the help of an experienced broker like TMBL more necessary than ever.

what’s the best and quickest ways to fix credit history?

My fiance wants to use lexington law firm to fix credit.
Is there a less expensive way and are these places a rip-off?

Answer
First off, and I assume you have already done so, access your credit report. You are allowed one free report per year from each bureau, as well as when you are denied credit orif you are a victim of identity theft. https://www.annualcreditreport.com
Then check all items very carefully. You would be amazed at how credit bureaus are very lax in cleaning up outdated items. If an account is over 7 years old, ask them to dump it! (the exception is bankruptcy – that stays for 10 years). Also, don’t be afraid to challenge accounts you think may not be yours. The credit bureaus have to investigate all claims within 30 days and take action – i.e. verify or scrub. This happened to me recently over a cable bill I NEVER HAD (turns out a family member used my name to open an account – nice!). I challenged it and it got scrubbed from my credit report. Other than that, if all debts are valid, just keep making those minimum monthly payments (more if you can afford it), and do not incur any more unecessary debt. It’s not a “quick fix” (nothing is) but be patient and you’ll start seeing results!

Dispute Items on Credit Reports Find Out How to Dispute Bad Credit Items and Have Them Removed

May 8th, 2011 by admin

The importance of credit reports cannot be neglected ever as it is the most important thing for financial future. Whenever any consumer applies for any new loan, he has to present his report which describes his previous history of loaning. A report contains all the information regarding your repayment behavior like all late payments, mishandlings, bankruptcies, charge offs etc.

If you are planning to apply for a new loan and preparing documentations, it is better for you to first check your credit report for any bad credit items. Sometimes we pay on time but it reflects on report as late payments or any other entries which are not done by us intentionally but reflecting on report are known as bad credit items. These are enough to damage our credit score. Once the credit score decreased due to bad credit items, you may not be able take any loan in the future.

Disputed credit items are not favorable so these must be removed as soon as possible. But how will you know about these credit items? When you apply for a new loan, the management of that financial institution calls for your credit report themselves as they have online systems. When they will find credit items, it will be difficult for you to manage at that time and your loan may be declined. It is better to check your report before applying for a new loan so that you can remove the disputed items.

To remove disputed items for your credit report first you get your report by applying with all three reporting bureaus working in this aspect. When you receive your report; you mark all those bad credit items which you think are disputed and should not be reflected on your report. After marking all items, you get the payment receipts or proofs of those payments which are marked as disputed items. Once you get all the proofs, get them copied and write a dispute letter to reporting bureau for removal of those credit items from your credit report. A normal time of reply is above 30 days and hopefully items will be removed if you have attached valid proofs.

Many find themselves wanting credit report repair for a credit score of 700+, but don’t know what is necessary to achieve this goal. Disputing negative items on your credit report can be the first step to boosting your score. Negative items on a credit report must be validated, and those that aren’t must be removed. The end result is a credit report repair for the consumer. For more information on legal and efficient ways to repair credit, visit the following link:

Free Credit Dispute Letters Find Them Fix Them Use Them

April 26th, 2011 by admin

A quick search on the web will find you an abundance of free credit dispute letters. There are plenty of them. First, though, look on the Federal Trade Commission’s credit repair page. This website gives you the basics of credit repair and they also give you a free credit dispute letter template to use for free.

When you find the free credit dispute letter you will use, do not stop there. You should find three or four different free credit dispute letters that you can use. Be sure you don’t send the same letter template to create all your credit repair letters of. Finding three or four templates to use will give you a higher success rate with your letters.

Additionally, you should not use the free credit dispute letters you find just as they are. You should change up a few words, and also switch up the font sizes and styles. Putting in a couple of typos can also make them look more ‘real’. Make sure that the letter is legible once you print it! If it is not legible, the credit bureau personnel who has to deal with your credit repair letter will not mess with trying to decipher it. Let the credit bureau know how concerned you are about the things that are reporting incorrectly on your credit report. Don’t use foul words, but do be forceful.

Whatever website that you use for your free dispute letters will likely also give you some useful information you need to put on the credit repair letters so that you make your dispute correctly. You can also find resources online that enable you to produce your credit dispute letters using a free, online credit repair system. This makes your life a lot easier because you will not have to actually write out the letters or find templates. One such excellent resource is CreditBlossom.com. This site walks you through the process and allows you to automatically create your self credit repair letters.

Matthew Wierzbinski is one of the owners http://www.creditblossom.com. He was a mortgage broker for over 7 years and during that time he was able to help people repair their own credit successfully. All the knowledge he built up during those years has been poured into the CreditBlossom web site. Matt wrote a http://www.creditblossom.com/credit-repair-guide and built http://www.creditblossom.com/credit-repair-software. These are available to the public for free at the CreditBlossom.com web site. Self credit repair is something anyone considering repairing their own credit should look into before they approach a company. The process is simple enough that anyone with a little time can figure it out. Using the CreditBlossom.com system makes it even easier. The site walks you through the details and the software makes writing dispute letters extremely easy. Much of the instruction also comes in video format to make it even easier.

How do the credit repair companies fix your credit?

Iv’e heard they send letters but how can I learn aboutit to do this for myself and my friends and family?
only serious answers.

Answer
Ok, I can see that I am going to have to dispell the myths about credit restoration.

Can you do it yourself? You bet you can. Can you repair your car yourself? You bet you can. Can you build your own house? You bet you can. Can you represent yourself in court? You bet you can. Get the point?

Saying that credit restoration is not legit just because people don’t know the laws and haven’t taken the time to learn how to do it is just like saying that mechanics aren’t legitimate because so many people don’t take the time to learn how to repair their cars. Or lawyers, or contractors, plumbers, accountants, electricians, appliance repairmen (or women), etc. That is just an irresponsible statement by people who haven’t taken the time to truly educate themselves.

Credit restoration requires much more than just writing letters. One has to have an in depth understanding of the 340 different laws contained in the Fair Credit Reporting Act. One can’t just write a letter to the credit bureaus and say “I dispute the validity of the information contained in my report.” That will only get you so far. (Kudos to the gentleman above who made it work by accident! You got lucky.) You have to be able to identify many reasons why the information is not valid. You have to be able to cite case law supporting your claim. You have to know the law to be able to use the law.

That is the reason that there are ONLY THREE legitimate credit restoration companies in the United States. JUST THREE. They meet not just the requirements of their respective States for licensing, bonding and insurance, but they have demonstrated the ability OVER TIME, to consistantly produce results for their clients. It is reprehensible to disparage the good work these people do just because you THINK you know a few things about the FCRA and you can fill out a few forms you downloaded from a website.

If anyone wants to know the TRUTH about credit restoration (not that claptrap quoted in the supposed Credit Bible) you may email me with any questions and I will answer you honestly and unbiasedly. My email is nebula7693@yahoo.com

The recent FACT act makes it easier for consumers to access free copies of their credit reports. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) publishes free credit repair tips, letters to use as examples when contacting the credit bureaus and other information. The FTC investigated one nationwide credit repair company in 2003, finding that hundreds of thousands of people had paid millions of dollars to try to improve their credit scores. It is easy to understand why people are interested in improving their credit scores. The people with the highest scores get the best interest rates. The people with the lowest scores are the targets of the most scams. Payday loans and other high interest, short term loans attract those people who cannot qualify for other less expensive methods of borrowing.

tips on building good credit?

i opened up my 1st credit card when i was 18. the bank gave me a $1,000 limit and an intro 6 months 0% interest incentive. i purchased a laptop, and paid it off within the 6 months. 10 months after i opened up the credit card (it’s Visa, btw), the bank raised my limit to $1500. i use the card every now and then for little nicknacks. i owe about $200 on it, and plan to pay it off by May, April at the earliest.

I opened a 2nd credit card, a Capital One, about 1 year after I opened the Visa. After I pay off the Visa, I plan on using it for important purposes only, considering it has the higher limit (for example, if my car needs repairs that i cannot afford on the spot).

I am hoping, once I have both cards paid off, to pay off my car in 1.5 – 2 yrs, so i may start saving to buy a house of my own before I am 25. I am 20 now.

How do i keep my credit good so that when the time comes to settle into my own place, i will be off to a good start?
Also, I have never missed a payment. And I usually pay well over the minimum. I usually pay $75-100, on a $25 minimum

Answer
You are on the right track.

Keep using your cards occasionally to keep your credit usage active and never be over thirty days late.

Monitor your credit reports often so that you can fix any issues that may arise. I suggest you use a credit monitoring service as it makes it easy to track your reports and will automatically warn you if your credit is compromised. Most services cost about $10 per month.

Steady employment in the same line of work will also help you greatly when it comes time to qualifying for your house.

Good job for having a plan and being proactive about your credit, you are miles ahead of most people your age.
